GET LOST

From 1 April 2022 the Clean Car Standard is being expanded to penalise high emitting vehicles and reward buyers of low emitting petrol and diesel vehicles. This is additional to the rebates already available on EV and PHEVs. Details of which vehicles will be eligible for a Clean Car Rebate are shown below.

The rebate value is based on the vehicle’s CO2 emissions – the lower the emissions the bigger the rebate. The rebates are being funded by a government fee on high emitting vehicles, with fees ranging from $460 to $5,175.

Looking after the planet and your wallet can align on a range of vehicles. The rebate value can be over 10% of the price of the vehicle, so you will be driving away with fewer emissions, lower fuel costs and thanks to the rebate, a lower net vehicle purchase cost.

At Brendan Foot Supersite we sell a number of the country’s most popular vehicle brands and among them a range of models eligible for a rebate, from small cars all the way up to 7-seaters.

Note that the purchase price of the vehicle is what is paid to the dealership and the rebate is claimed by the buyer directly from Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency) once the purchase transaction is complete.
