Manufacturer Warranty
Every new car brand has a warranty with different terms, conditions, and exclusions. Extended warranties may also be available for some car brands.
Chery NZ
The Chery NZ New Vehicle Warranty is 7 years/unlimited kilometres from the first registration date. Demonstrator vehicles carry the balance of the original warranty.
Commercial use: For vehicles primarily used for taxi, ride sharing, rental, courier, hire, or driving school purposes, the warranty period is limited to 7 years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first.
The high-voltage battery is covered under the same terms, with coverage extending to issues where the net residual capacity falls below 70% during the warranty period.
GWM NZ

GWM’s Tank 300 and 500 Hybrids, H6 Hybrid, Jolion Hybrid, Cannon Alpha Hybrid and Ora EVs come with an 8-year/150,000km (whichever comes first) battery warranty for cars registered for business use and an 8-year/unlimited km battery warranty for private cars. Holden NZ
Brendan Foot Supersite used to be one of New Zealand’s biggest Holden dealers, and we can service and provide selected genuine parts for your Holden. Holden’s warranty includes a three-year/100,000km warranty (whichever comes first) and 3-year Holden Advantage Roadside Assistance. Hyundai NZ

Selected vehicles eligible for standard and extended coverage. To qualify for the 2-year/50,000km warranty extension, you’ll need to purchase a minimum 3-year Service Plan with selected models and ensure your vehicle receives regular maintenance and inspections according to Hyundai’s recommended schedule (for Years 1 – 5 duration of the warranty period). All maintenance must be done by qualified Hyundai technicians at authorised Hyundai dealers, using genuine Hyundai parts. Initial registration date from 1 January 2025 on selected models.
Isuzu NZ

Kia NZ
All new full EV and petrol Kia’s come with an impressive 5 year/150,000km (whichever comes first) Warranty Programme. All new hybrid and PHEV Kia’s come with a 7 year/150,000km (whichever comes first) Warranty Programme. All new Kia’s that are powered by a high-voltage drive battery are provided with an additional 8 year/160,000km (whichever comes first) warranty that covers components found in the drive battery case. Mitsubishi Motors NZ
One of the best new car warranties, Mitsubishi offers an extensive 10-year diamond warranty or 160,000km powertrain warranty, a 5-year or 130,000km new car warranty, and 5-years Roadside Assistance. Renault NZ
This Renault warranty is only for vehicles imported by Renault New Zealand. For Passenger Vehicles registered from the 1st of March 2020 the warranty includes 3-year/unlimited km warranty. Suzuki NZ
Suzuki’s warranty includes a 3-year/100,000km warranty (whichever comes first). Plus, an extra 2-year warranty if your car is serviced by a Suzuki dealer and inspected before the end of the three years. You’ll also get five years of Roadside Assistance. Exclusions include but are not limited to, new Mitsubishi cars covered by the Diamond Advantage warranty and electric and hybrid cars (except the Suzuki Swift Hybrid). Servicing must be done at Brendan Foot Supersite service centres for the duration of the Mechanical Plus™ plan.
