Three inspirational cycling speakers (L-R) Jonathan Paape, Nathan Martin, Gordon McCauley.

Nathan Martin

Nathan is an inspiration to many. Director of Change Fitness, he has been in the fitness industry for many years. Nathan’s journey first started when he was introduced to triathlon back in 2008. Crossing the finish line at Ironman NZ in 2010 was a key moment in Nathan’s journey to finding his purpose, his passion for life and ultimately happiness. Nathan has now completed 6 full Ironman events plus K2, the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, and last year the Taupo Enduro (2 laps – 320km). He has also represented NZ as an age group triathlete in 2012.

Endurance sport has changed Nathan’s life. Now his focus is being a positive role model and inspiring others to also find their finish line. He and his wife Rose have set up “The Martin Charitable Trust” a non-profit organisation that is aimed at helping children in the lower decile areas of the Hutt Valley also find their finish line through sports and keeping active. Come along and hear Nathan’s story of CHANGE.

Jonathan Paape – aka The Mad Keen Cyclist

An enthusiastic cyclist, Jonathan organises and escorts small groups of cyclists, passionate for adventure, culture and world class experiences to places like Italy and France. He also runs cycling expos, organises free rides with pro cycling teams and runs seminars overseas. Jonathan will entertain with content from his very popular free video series.

Gordon McCauley

A champion cyclist and charismatic presenter, Gordon has won over 800 races, many on the international circuit. His business, GMC Training, is New Zealand’s most successful cycling coaching business. Come along and hear ‘Gordon’s 9 Winning Secrets’.

The speakers will be complemented by a range of exhibitors for people to chat too. This will include Wellington cycling clubs explaining their pre-Taupo races, leading Wellington cycle retailers (Capital Cycles, Cycle Science, iRide, Kiwivelo) and Brendan Roach from BodyLab.
