Express Servicing is a brand new initiative at our Lower Hutt Service site.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer a new service option to make it more convenient for our customers with quicker and more efficient vehicle servicing.

Express Servicing is an innovative solution to increase the efficiency of service, improve safety for our technicians and above all increase customer convenience.

We purchased two of the latest Express Service trolleys to offer this new service. The purpose built portable trolleys house the tools and equipment needed to complete servicing and warranty work. The trolley, complete with a pneumatic wheel lifter, also removes the need for our technicians to manually lift heavy vehicle wheels.

This function allows a technician to easily and efficiently conduct an express service on their own with one trolley, but with both trolleys the level of efficiency of our workflow and has dramatically increased with two technicians able to work simultaneously on the same vehicle.

This Express Servicing option allows us to complete Manufacturer’s scheduled servicing on vehicles up to 3 years old for up to and including a 45,000km service in just one hour, with WOF inspections also able to be included.

The new servicing option has been operating for a number of weeks with positive feedback from customers. Convenience is a key factor in our decision to offer this option and we are excited to be able help remove some of the busy-ness from our customers day.

Cindy was one of our first customers to experience it. She was happy not to have to leave the vehicle with us for the day as it was more convenient to stay and wait for the short time. She was also very happy her vehicle was washed and vacuumed.

“I would like to drop it with them every month just for the wash!”, says Cindy.

Another happy customer, Ella, enjoyed the experience in our Customer Lounge while she waited.

“Sitting down with a free coffee and wifi in a relaxed environment is a great way to wait for my car to be serviced,” says Ella.

Customer Service Coordinator Denise Crotty is excited about the new initiative. She says most customers are interested to know more about the more convenient option and how it is going to benefit them.

“One of the questions we are often asked is “is it going to cost me more?” and they are pleasantly surprised when we tell them the price will stay the same,” says Denise.

The new option has flow on affects to other parts of our business as well. The quick turnover of vehicles also helps ease the congestion our carpark on Railway Ave experiences at peak times.

Our Lower Hutt Service site is now taking bookings during the day on Monday-Friday for a one hour time slot for Holden, Kia and Suzuki vehicles. Customers can book in their vehicle for a time that suits them, and then wait in our customer lounge and enjoy tea/coffee and free wifi, or use that hour in a way that’s best for them.
