GET LOST

Going off-road with the all-new Isuzu D-Max is now even more fun – and safer too!

The all-new D-Max comes with a powerful re-engineered 3 litre turbo diesel engine, with a new cylinder block, pistons, cylinder head and fuel injection system.

With the new D-Max engine, peak torque range is much lower and five times wider than the outgoing model, meaning you can get over and around obstacles with ease.

300Nm of torque comes on tap from just above idle at 1000rpm and you’ll get 400Nm from 1400-3250rpm – virtually all of your operating range.

All 4×4 models all have rear diff lock, invaluable over uneven ground when the suspension is fully stretched. There’s also 200mm more wading depth, to a total of 800mm, and added ground clearance. With the all-terrain rubber fitted, all-new D-Max happily tackles steep climbs and steep downhills, thanks to hill start assist and hill descent control.

Having achieved a 5-star ANCAP safety rating using the tough new 2020 criteria, D-Max is New Zealand’s safest ute, so even off-road -there’s a lot of spec to keep you out of trouble and everyone safe.

All models come with eight airbags (including a segment-first “far side” restraint to separate driver and front passenger in a side collision), plus some features that are useful wherever you’re driving such as forward collision avoidance, blind spot alert, drive attention warning, automatic high-beam lights, rain-sensing wipers and a reversing camera.

And when you need it there are heavy duty brakes.

Off-road comfort is good too, thanks in part to cushioned well-shaped seats, plenty of legroom and rear AC vents. When you need to, the easy clean vinyl flooring makes this far less of a hassle (on LX and LS-M models).

The 8 years of redevelopment have produced a ute that is powerful, safe and comfortable both on and off-road – so whether you are seriously into four wheel driving or just like to head out every now and again, there’s a lot to like about the new D-Max.

So come and check out the new D-Max on our yard and know that when you take it off-road it’ll be well up for whatever you throw at it!
