It’s well known that Isuzu make long lasting diesel engines, and their latest vehicle, the 7 seater SUV MU-X takes that same drive for perfection to all areas of the vehicle.

The first-generation Isuzu MU-X was a no-nonsense and rugged seven-seater SUV designed for towing and off-roading – or regional school runs. It proved itself over the years to be a reliable and trustworthy machine.

Credit to Isuzu Utes, this resonated with tens of thousands of Australians who wanted a country-friendly family hauler well-suited to getting away from the urban limits. Many Australians living here will know the popularity of Isuzu, as over the Tasman, Isuzu has the second highest market share of any country in the world.  And while not as well known here, those that have an Isuzu have huge loyalty for the brand – for good reason.

All-new second-generation MU-X has taken what was great about the first one and added a whole lot more, making it a new beast altogether. It has versatility in spades, offering 4 wheel drive, 7 seats and 3.5 tonne towing capacity. With the whole family (and possibly more) on board it’ll tow the big trailer, horse float or caravan with ease. It will safely and easily traverse roads and rugged ground that other vehicles will have to stay clear of. All the while keeping up to 7 people in the vehicle very comfortable and very safe with the features that have earned it a five star ANCAP safety rating.

Francois du Toit, the Sales Manager for Isuzu at Brendan Foot Supersite, has been awed by the more contemporary cabin tech and active safety the new MU-X has to offer.

The power tailgate makes using the boot a breeze, the convenience of Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto is fantastic, and the auto lights, wipers and high beam make driving it a pleasure. Of course sitting in front heated seats and a full leather interior is a good start, and the dual-zone climate control keeps everyone feeling comfortable.”

Francois is also a big fan of the off-road capability where the rear differential lock, 800mm wading depth and 450Nm of torque keep you moving safely and effortlessly.

The MU-X has been given the highest possible safety rating using the latest new standards from ANCAP, so you can be assured that not only the passengers but others around the vehicle will be kept safe. The MU-X comes with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and autonomous emergency braking.

As Francois says “If it ain’t MU-X it ain’t much” and those that have test driven it agree. We sell and service Isuzu in Wellington and Porirua, so if you are looking for a Wellington Isuzu dealer come and see Francois and the team.
