We are fully open for business, with our showrooms, yards, parts and service departments all operating under the health and safety guidelines prescribed for COVID-19 Alert Level 2. Please be assured we have robust distancing and sanitising procedures in place right across the business. See more details below or feel free to call on 04 587 0005 for more information.
You are also welcome to continue to use our contactless sales and service methods – vehicle video tours, home test drive and valet servicing. See more on this below.
We have adjusted some of our opening hours, with longer Service hours at some sites. Please click here for more details.
Safe sales and service
All our staff including salespeople and service technicians are working at a distance of 1 to 2 metres from each other at all times. Our service technicians will be wearing gloves, and all contact surfaces are being sanitised. Our premises are being regularly and rigorously cleaned.
Any staff who are unwell will remain at home. We have a log of everyone who visits our premises in order to comply with contact tracing requirements.
Vehicle service, repairs and WOF process
- Book your WOF or Service online or over the phone and describe what needs doing and any particular servicing concerns or instructions you may have.
- Drop your vehicle as usual to our service department and note distancing instructions as you enter.
- You will be contacted by phone to confirm the work being done on the car and the pick up time.
- Please note you are able to wait for your vehicle in our customer lounge seated at a distance from others, but for no longer than 2 hours. Due to current regulations we will have no tea or coffee available nor any reading matter, but you are welcome to bring your own.
- Once finished, an invoice will be emailed to you for online payment or by credit card over the phone. You are also able to pay at our Service Department on pick-up but we are unable to accept cash at this time.
- After sanitising all necessary surfaces (e.g. steering wheel, gear shift, handbrake, seatbelts, handles and key fob) your vehicle will be placed back in the carpark for you to collect.
If you are unable to leave your home or are in any way vulnerable to infection, we are able to collect your vehicle from you, have it serviced or given a WOF check, and returned to you. Once again, our staff will be following stringent safety protocols to ensure the vehicle and keys are sanitised both on collection and drop off.
Safe car sales
Our showrooms and vehicle yards are fully open for vehicle sales. Be assured we are following safe distancing and sanitising protocols required under Alert Level 2.
We also have contactless test drives either from your home or from our premises available, and can offer you a video tour of the vehicle you’re interested in. We can provide contactless pick-up or delivery options for you once the sales process is complete.
Take a video tour
If there’s a car you’re interested in, we are able to take you on a personalised video tour of it. It’s really easy. You tell us which car you’d like to see – new or used – and let us know if there are any particular features you’d like to know more about (for example, the dashboard layout, how the seats fold down, even the sound of the engine) and one of our salespeople will record a video tour just for you. We’ll then email you the link to watch in your own time and share with others. Find out more.
Safe and contactless test drives
We are able to provide contactless test drives for you from the dealership or from your home. Simply book your test drive online and choose your location. A salesperson will be in touch by email to arrange the paperwork and timing, and then the vehicle will be ready for you at the agreed time and place. All contact surfaces and keys will be sanitised before and after you drive it.
The trade-in process continues as normal with our salespeople able to appraise your trade-in vehicle either at the dealership or at your home, depending on what suits you. Our salespeople will be wearing a mask and gloves and will sanitise the vehicle prior to and after appraising it.
We can easily handle vehicle purchases in a safe way with minimal contact – or no contact if you prefer. Our Business Managers can take care of all paperwork by email, and payments can be made by phone or internet banking. They can also help you arrange finance if need be. We can deliver your vehicle to you in a safe way, either at the dealership or to your home.
Warrants of Fitness
Now is a good time to catch up on any missed or due Warrants of Fitness. We can handle that for you in a safe way. Book here.
Please note that during Alert Levels 4 and 3 the NZTA stated that all WOFs will be deemed current until further notice. They will be revisiting this as we move into Alert Level 2 however no new information is to hand at this time. Please check the NZTA website for updates. Two important things to note if you still need to drive the vehicle: it is your responsibility to make sure it is safe to operate; and you will need to advise your insurer of the situation.
There will have been no penalties for missing your manufacturer scheduled service during Alert Levels 4 and 3, but it is important to get it done as soon as possible now we are at Alert Level 2, if you are able. Our manufacturers have all responded with understandable leeway to the COVID-19 crisis in relation to servicing and warranties. Check our Manufacturer Warranties page for up-to-date details or book now.
We will be honouring existing Brendan Foot Supersite Mechanical Assurance Plans in the case of your scheduled servicing being delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. If your service is due, it will need to be rescheduled as soon as possible. Book now.
Vehicle licencing (Rego)
Vehicles are able to be re-licensed (new rego) online at the NZTA site or by following the instructions on the reminder letter or email you will have received. Find out more.
Driver’s licence renewal
For driver’s licences that expired during Alert Levels 4 or 3, the NZTA temporarily extended them. They will be revisiting the extension as we move into Alert Level 2. Please check the NZTA website for ongoing updates.
With the very rapid changes to many people’s work circumstances we appreciate you may have concerns about your finance payments. We are working closely with our finance companies to find solutions. Below are links to their websites where you will find updated information.
If you are unsure which finance company you are with or have any other queries related to your finance payments, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Business Managers by email.
